Lower Coomera Cemetery is a serene, one-hectare area in the heart of the beautiful Gold Coast. The cemetery was gazetted in 1881 and is controlled and operated by the City of Gold Coast as trustee.

The cemetery services are available every day, with special arrangements for weekends.

Lower Coomera Cemetery offers:

Lawn Sections

Lawn sections cater for burials where a monument or grave surround is not required. A memorial tablet or plaque is placed on the grave site. The remaining grave site surrounds are then turfed and maintained by the city staff.

Monumental Cemeteries

Headstones or monuments in monumental cemeteries may be installed by private arrangements through a monumental mason. A monument permit application is required to be submitted and approved prior to any work commencing on-site.

If a monument is not required a City supplied memorial plaque can be installed on the grave as an alternative.

Ash Wall Niches

Memorial sites in a memorial garden or columbarium wall are available for the placement of cremated remains
