Memorials for Ashes: Pinnaroo Lawn Cemetery and Crematorium offers memorial gardens and walls to house your loved one’s ashes. Garden settings and memorial wall options include:
Cremations: If you require a private church or facility funeral, the funeral director will transfer the coffin to the crematorium, as most cremations take place following the service. Ashes will be ready for collection or placement in a memorial site within 2-3 days. For those who are unable to attend, live streaming of funerals is available.
Chapel Services: The on-site, open-plan memorial chapel is suitable for all types of funeral services and appropriate for people of all religions and ethnicities, accommodating up to 85 seated guests and 40 standing guests. TVs and audio-visual equipment for DVDs, music and still images are available on request
Garden of Remembrance: The Queensland Garden of Remembrance is within the Pinnaroo Lawn Cemetery. Operated and maintained by the Office of Australian War Graves, the garden has a capacity for 45,500 plaques.
Returned Service Areas: The cemetery offers designated areas for Returned Service personnel and their spouses. This includes lawn graves and walls for ashes.
Catering and Reception: After the funeral, you may choose to gather and remember your loved one in a calm, respectful setting. We provide a selection of high-quality food accompanied by hot and cold beverages. Pinnaroo can cater for and accommodate up to 100 guests, with an indoor area suitable for 40 guests and an undercover outdoor area for 60 guests.
Because Pinnaroo Cemetery follows a lawn-style memorial design, upright headstones are not permitted. This approach creates a consistent, open landscape that is easier to maintain and provides an uncluttered environment for reflection. Within these guidelines, memorial plaques become the primary way to honour a loved one, making thoughtful design and craftsmanship especially important. The dedicated stonemasons at MMS Memorials carefully craft:

Over time, plaques may naturally fade, weather, or become worn due to exposure to sun, rain, and general environmental conditions. Even high-quality materials such as bronze or granite can gradually lose their original contrast, with lettering becoming less defined or surface finishes appearing dulled. At MMS Memorials, we provide comprehensive care and restoration to ensure your memorial and grave marker remain respectful and well-presented for years to come.
MMS Memorials understands that navigating cemetery requirements can often feel overwhelming during an already difficult time. Our team is here to support families every step of the way, providing clear guidance and handling the process with care and compassion. We create timeless memorials that comply with cemetery regulations, ensuring each tribute is both respectful and deeply meaningful. We offer:
